floral assistant position

We are looking for a floral assistant to help with the busy 2017 wedding season. This position will begin in April and end in November, with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance.

Duties include:

·      Cut and prepare fresh flowers

·      Clean and maintain the work space

·      Break down boxes and empty trash as needed

·      Assist with flower deliveries

·      Assist with event set up and breakdown

Applicants must be responsible, dependable, willing to learn and must be able to follow detailed instructions. Knowledge of flowers is helpful, but not required. Saturday mornings and afternoons are a must as well as occasional Sunday mornings. Weekday hours are normally 10am-5pm and are flexible. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are essential.

This internship exposes you to many fields within the wedding industry: wedding planning, marketing, event design, floral prep & design, crowd management, and catering. During the 8-10 week internship program, interns will rotate between departments gaining hands-on experience.
